Amanda was appointed as my stepsons lawyer during our custody hearing. We pretty much new that we weren't going to get what we had hoped for as custody cases are usually quite difficult but she was horrible. At first she seemed fair when she spoke to my husband and me but after she spoke with my husbands ex she completely changed her tune towards us. She would communicate with my stepsons mother on a regular basis and we were unaware until we went to trial and she let the judge know about some incidents that never occurred. She spoke breifly with my stepson and came back with a letter written from my stepson that she read aloud. It said something like "sometimes when I get nervous I lie". Everything that she thought was true about the case had been completely false and all she said was. "My Bad". I have never heard a lawyer in my lifetime say my bad in a court situation where a child is involved. Needless to say we didn't use her again. Horrible, horrible, horrible. The only good thing I can say is she seemed to care. Her problem was not getting her facts strait.
