Biography
Randy Akin graduated in 1978 from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and graduated in 1981 from Baylor School of Law with a Juris Doctor and was admitted to the Texas Bar in the same year. Mr. Akin is licensed to practice in both State and Federal Courts. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and further Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Mr. Akin is a Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation, Member of the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas, a Special Assistant Disciplinary Counsel to the Texas Commission for Lawyer Discipline. HIs experience in active trial practice includes over 150 civil jury verdicts on both the plaintiff and defense side.
Randy Akin began training for mediation/arbitration in 1989 through the U.S. Arbitration and Mediation and now performs around 80 dispute resolutions per year. Randy Akin has been recognized as a 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Texas Super Lawyer by his peers and AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
