Godwin Bowman PC Shareholder James Johanns' primary emphasis is commercial litigation, including contract, trademark and environmental liability issues. He has experience successfully representing both plaintiffs and defendants at the trial and appellate level in the state and federal courts of Texas. Prior to beginning his private practice, James served as the law clerk to Justice Susan Larsen of the Texas Court of Appeals-Eighth Judicial District in El Paso after graduation from law school. James was a member of the Godwin Bowman PC Halliburton team, working in connection with all civil litigation and investigations concerning BP's Macondo well blowout in the Gulf of Mexico until the completion of the case. Mr. Johanns is a three time recipient of the Texas Rising Stars honors.
