Myrna B. Silver

We retained Mryna Silver and her Advocate (Melony Watkins) in October 2008. The agreement says you agree to retain them both. We gave them $3,500. Melony represented us at 2 ARDs. She said she would help us get particular services for our son and if PISD didn't give them to my son they were in vi...olation of IDEA laws and we'd have an excellent case. PISD didn't give my son the services but Melony just disappeared after the ARDs... didnt' even advise us to write our "disagreement statement", which is required for Due Process. We made an appointment with Mryna (it took 5 weeks to get the appointmet, even though she was on retainer) She was smart and knowledgable and said we had an excellent case and told us why we could win and what to do to strengthen our case. We went off and did what we were supposed to do. Took weeks to get to talk to Mryna again, we had to remind her who we were and what our case was. By then, because of evidence stuff, we'd missed the window to sue-spent$1500
