William K. C. Dippel

Mr. Dippel graduated from the SMU School of Law in 1983 and

commenced work in the product liability division of Strasburger &

Price.  His practice included representation of General Motors

Corporation as Regional Counsel.  He became a shareholder in

1990, leaving in 1994 to form his own Plaintiffs' firm specializing

in product liability, medical negligence, and premises liability.  He

has lectured at the Texas Trial Lawyers Association Advanced

Products Liability Course, the State Bar of Texas Advanced

Personal Injury Seminar, and the State Bar College Spring

Training School.  His writing on attorney client privilege was cited

by the Texas Supreme Court, National Tank Co. v. Brotherton,

851 S.W.2d 19 (Tex. 1993), as well as by the Securities and

Exchange Commission, Final Rule:  Amendment to Rule 102(e) of

the Commission's Rules of Practice (1998).

His trial experience is unique in that he has tried significant cases

on behalf of, and against, large product manufacturers.  In 2001,

Mr. Dippel was co-lead counsel for the Plaintiffs’ in

Roblez\Ramos v. Ford, the first significant Plaintiffs’ verdict

against an American auto manufacturer involving injury to a child

from premature airbag deployment.  The jury returned a verdict

in excess of 23 million dollars.  He also recently negotiated one of

the largest Texas premises liability settlements this decade; his

client has appeared on Good Morning America, NBC Dateline,

and other national media programs, to educate sexual assault

victims and encourage the reporting of these crimes.  He practices

not only in Texas, but throughout the United States, in both trial

and federal appeals courts.
