Morgan Whisenhunt is a dedicated attorney specializing in family law, with a strong commitment to advocating for justice and positive change. With a passion for empowering individuals and addressing complex family dynamics, she has built her legal career around supporting those in need. Morgan's biggest strength lies at the intersection of family law and crimes against women, where she leverages her expertise to serve survivors and address critical issues within the community.
A native of the Dallas area, Morgan graduated fourth in her class from Sachse High School before attending the University of Texas at Austin, where she double-majored in English and Government, graduating with honors in both fields, and minored in Philosophy of Law. While at UT, Morgan volunteered with the SAFE Alliance, which exists to stop abuse for everyone by serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence. Her desire to make a difference in her hometown led her to SMU Dedman School of Law, where she developed her skills and knowledge.
During her time in law school, Morgan gained valuable experience working with the Sexual Assault and Crimes Against Children divisions of the Dallas County District Attorney's Office and interning at a local women's shelter. Additionally, Morgan practiced family law under the supervision of attorneys during her time with the Judge Elmo B. Hunter Legal Center for Victims of Crimes Against Women. Her time serving her community received special recognition, as Morgan landed on the Pro Bono Honor Roll at graduation, which recognizes students that gave over 50 hours of pro bono legal work.
Morgan’s approach to family law is centered around helping families find practical, peaceful solutions outside of the courtroom. She believes in the power of negotiation, mediation, and collaborative methods to create lasting agreements that work for everyone involved. However, when these options aren't in the best interest of her clients or their children, Morgan is always prepared to take the matter to court to protect their rights and ensure their voices are heard. Her goal is to help families navigate difficult situations with respect, integrity, and the utmost care for their well-being.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Morgan enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and pug Kiwi, playing video games, reading, and cheering for Longhorn sports.
