Rafael R. Valbuena

Rafael R. Valbuena has worked at The Law Offices of Scott Mackenzie for 15 years. Starting after high-school as an intern, he learned the practice of law from square one. His bilingual roots helped him gain a better understanding of the client’s needs in English and Spanish. He rose through the ranks to become a trusted case manager, overseeing the processing of thousands of cases. As his knowledge and experience grew, so did his education. Rafael put himself through college and law school while working full-time and supporting a family.

Rafael attended the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law and graduated in 2017, obtained his law license in the State of Texas, and became a full partner at the Law Offices of Scott Mackenzie.

Rafael practices in the personal injury, criminal defense and immigration field. His years of practical experience gives him the ability to analyze cases properly to maximize the benefit to each individual client. Rafael is tenacious in keeping his client’s best interest in focus, and this has allowed him to obtain excellent settlements with insurance companies. In cases which were previously dropped by other attorneys, Rafael was able to successfully investigate and research them resulting in several six figure settlements with many satisfied clients and was able to give hope where there was none.

Prior to obtaining his license as an attorney in the State of Texas, Rafael Valbuena worked as a paralegal for over 15 years. He has been intimately involved in cases such as wrongful death, trucking accidents, catastrophic injuries, and pharmaceutical litigation. His criminal defense experience has involved serious felonies and many misdemeanor matters, many pertaining to immigration issues. He has also handled immigration matters ranging from removal defense to obtaining citizenship.

Rafael Valbuena has spent the last 15 years developing his legal knowledge, as a paralegal and law student and as of 2018, a licensed attorney in the State of Texas. He brings the practical knowledge of how the law works, together with his cutting-edge education to provide legal services that can’t be stopped. He won’t stop until he rips every last benefit for his client out of the hands of those who would take it away.
