Terrible representation

I fired this firm after they reviewed my complaint and they confirmed that the three credit bureaus were at fault for illegally reporting incorrect information on my report. I spent tireless hours resending information and documents over and over. If the lost a paralegal, they lost all MY DOCUMENTS! ...and the nightmare of sending everything again. New people would start and I would have to explain my whole story again. The new person would agree that I would be well compensated for my credit score plummeting from 800 to, at one point in the six hundreds. I was furious. Long story short, after tireless hours, days, months and over a year of sending documents over and over, my paralegal calls and said her boss, Shawn Jaffer now said my case was only worth 2,500. I was furious! who does all this work for half of 2,500 (the law firm gets half) and that's not even a slap on the hand of these big credit bureaus. I suddenly realized they were powerless. I had been taken for a ride. THEN the topping on the cake was in the mediation meeting with EXPERIAN, I was made a fool of when they showed me ONE SINGLE DOCUMENT that I had never seen over the year working with them proved THEIR CASE showing the information they receive from the lender. They argued if you deceived these Docs from a lender you must record it on the credit report. They argued this is not an error on our part, it's an error on the lenders part. I was mortified and embarrassed that my counsel had never seen this information where it was clearly not the Credit Reporting Company's fault and my layer didn't way a thing. Just let them sit there and scold me! I kept asking why are you asking me all these questions to try to prove me I wants being honest, when all I need was to see this doc they had that my counsel DIDNT. And my counsel didn't not step in to even defend me! Just sat there!!!! I asked for a break and called my lawyer and told them we must drop the case. Shawn Jaffer law firm said they were going to take the Credit Bureau 5k settlement offer!!!! I got NOTHING and am going after the actual guilty offenders. By myself. Still have the bad credit and got not one dime. I would give them a zero instead of a one if possible. They need to go through some serious changes before they continue to represent people.

Do Not Recommend These Attorneys

Shawn Jaffer and there attorneys are not litigation lawyers to represent you in credit bureau lawsuits. They do not represent you to the best of there ability or represent you in your best interest. I wasted 31/2 years of disputes and cfpb complaints in 8 months hiring These incompetent lawyers since... January 2024. They file motions to withdraw from your case or motions to dismiss your case with excuses. They don't always take your phone calls. In my opinion These attorneys don't work for you to win, there against you. Think twice before you hire this firm. Speak to many different lawyers first before jumping in with this firm..you may end up botching your case up using I say this lightly, don't waste your time, there not skilled enough in the fcra litigation business. You can decide..when they lose or dismiss your case.

Fraud is an appropriate term to describe their actions

They take your $2500, and never do the work you hired them to do. I think that can be called fraud. I don’t think Shawn Jaffers should be in good standing with the Tevas Bar. How is he still practicing law? Years after they were supposed to make credit card debt disappear, as they boldly claimed, ...I start getting calls from Portfolio Recovery for the same credit card I hired Shawn Jaffers to take care of. When I called him, the receptionist said that he wasn’t available for calls and refused to put him on the phone. The only way I can describe someone who takes your money and doesn’t do anything is a SCAMMER. Do not throw money at Shawn Jeffers.

I would not recommend this attorney and here's why

If I was you I wouldn't go to this attorney. My personal opinion I do not think all the 5 star reviews on this page are real (fake). Last year I went in for a consultation with them about 2 cases. He agreed to handle 1 but not the other one so I decided to go with another attorney. A few months late...r the attorney in VA where I moved from called me and said this firm reached out to her and told her bad things that I was supposed to had said about her to them. I was in shock because for one it's not true and why would they reach out to the that I shared with them about another case that we won. I was going to file a compliant with the board but she asked me not to. All I can say about you hiring this man is to be VERY careful, there's alot of people out here paying for 5 star reviews.
