Christopher Inslee Clark

After nine years practicing real estate law (first with Jenkens & Gilchrist, followed by David, Goodman & Madole), Chris Clark spent almost four years working with one of the leading commercial real estate firms in Texas on the development, asset management and leasing of retail shopping centers, before returning to David, Goodman & Madole in 2008.  Chris was named to D Magazine’s list of “Best Lawyers in Dallas 2011,” and in both 2002 and 2004, the magazine named him one of the “Best Lawyers Under 40.”  He also was named a Texas Super Lawyers’ Rising Star for 2005 by Thomson Reuters Services, as printed in the July 2005 issue of Texas Monthly.

“My time on the business side of commercial real estate was like earning an advanced degree in the field; it gave me real world business experience and a level of understanding of what my clients do that most attorneys don’t ever get.  I think this really sets me apart from most other real estate lawyers,” Chris says.

Chris’ practice involves the representation of real estate owners, developers and financial institutions in connection with mortgage and construction loans; entity formation and partnership matters; the development, acquisition and sale of raw land, retail shopping centers, office buildings and other real property; and reciprocal and easement agreements. In addition, Chris has substantial experience representing landlords and tenants in retail and office leasing matters.
