The Worst

I had him handle 3 citations. 1 was handled, 1 the officer showed up at my door to arrest me and the third ended up in a warrant. he doesn't get back to you and never addresses the citations. after the lewisville officer showed up at my door, Richard said he would handle it and my next ticket would b...e on the house. i luckily received my third a few weeks later. nothing was on the house and he just got me deffered. he is terrible. i wasnt going to write this but ran into a friend last night that had the same type of story about Richard! THE WORST!! DO NOT HIRE!! believe me

Unprofessional

I received two traffic citations and retained Richard H. Martin to represent me. A court date was set in Kaufman County JP#2. He never notified me of my court date and he was a "no show" at the hearing. I sent him an e-mail asking what the disposition was and he never responded. Subsequently, Ka...ufman County issued three warrants for my arrest (one each for the citations and an additional warrant for Failure to Appear) and I was arrested on a traffic stop in Highland Park. After my arrest, I called him and he finally responded and said that he had recently found my e-mails asking about my case while he was going through old e-mails. After I told him I had been arrested due to his negligence, he said he had not done anything wrong and it was the court's fault and refused to give my retainer fee back.

Situation Handled

My wife was arrested for outstanding warrants that a different lawyer was paid to handle and apparently did not take care of them. Mr. Martin did everything that he said he would do, and she was released from police custody. He was efficient, reliable, and sympathetic to our situation. I would highly... recommend him, and if we get in another jam, would definitely not hesitate to contact him again. Excellent service is what I experienced.

Highly Recommended.

I have used the Mr. Martin for 2 cases over the past year. In the most recent case, I was invloved in an auto accident (alleged DWI). He was able to get the charges reduced to class C misdemeanor and also keep it off my record. I ended up paying a small fine, around $250, and my driving record is sti...ll clean. As far as his services, I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and proactive. He kept me informed every step of the way and answered all my questions througout the ordeal. I would highly recommend Mr. Martin and his legal expertise.

Bad, bad, bad

I wont come out and call him one but when someone takes your money for a service they are to provide and then do not provide that service what do you call them? One word that comes to mind starts with a T and I dont mean terrific. Another starts with C and I dont mean commendable. Another starts with... D and I dont mean dynamic. He got my tickets moved to Dallas county. One was dismissed, another went to trial and I was given a fine and the opnly way I found out I had a fine to pay was because I sent him a message and got lucky that he even took time to respond to it claiming it was all Dallas County's fault. That's the thing with him. All excuses..Always someone else's fault. He offered to pay the fine for me with the court if I payPaled him the money, oh plus his fee for doing so and a 3.5% fee that PayPal charges. So far, fine has still not been paid and the few times he has responded to me have been excuses and apparent lies. I havent heard as many excuses and lies since I was married to my ex wife. Lost phone, email not set up correctly, windbag prosecutors keeping him from getting to Crowely to pay. The other ticket? According to the court he never did anything with that one. It's sat there for a year with no activity. So, I am riding around unknowingly having two warrants because he either cant or wont do what he was paid to do. So, I'll have to go pay the stupid $300+ fine myself, hire a new lawyer for the other ticket and I suppose kiss the $300+ I paid him for his graceousness to go pay my fine, goodbye. I certainly hope he has enjoyed that $300+ I apparently gifted him because he sure as heck hasnt lived up to what he claimed would do. I can promise him one thing, I will not go quietly, I'll get something for that money, he can rest assured of that. There is a questions, "What kind of cases does this attorney handle?" Apparently none, because he is either too incompetent or lazy to to do anything.
