Board Certified in Construction Law, representing owners, general contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers throughout Texas navigate the treacherous waters of the residential and commercial construction world. I help my contractor clients get paid for their work, defend against claims of improper workmanship, deal with employee issues including enforcement of non-competes. I regularly prepare and review contracts between owners and contractors, contractors and subcontractors, etc. Many of my clients are storm restoration contractors who need help in this very specialized area of construction, including offering advice on complying with the Texas Public Insurance Adjuster's Act. I also assist property owners whose insurance claims have been wrongfully denied or underpaid. I am well versed in Texas lien law, including private. public (Texas) claims and Miller Act (federal projects) bond claims. I also act as outside general counsel for numerous contractor and construction related clients.
