Waste

Wish I could give zero stars. Hired him to represent me on a felony 3 case. $3000. Did nothing. Hole in the wall office that looked like sht. Doesn't pay attention. Can't negotiate with prosecutor. Was only ever offered 3 years in prison with him. Fired him and hired a competent lawyer. First ...offer with her was probation. First court hearing I went to with her was supposed to be an admonishment hearing with him because all he ever did was stall. Got there with my new attorney and prosecutor said she only wanted to do that because she did not like how he kept stalling. Got a better offer of probation when all he could ever get was 3 years in prison for me. Attorney said it was solely because the prosecutor did not like dealing with him and how he conducted his work. I said thats fkked up but apparently that's how it is. Prosecutor doesn't like your attorney then they will fkk you because they can. He also signed my name for me on pass slips which I thought was ok but turns out that is unethical. My attorney received the "work" he had done while on my case when she became my attorney and said he essentially did absolutely nothing. Just took my money. I hope this review helps deter others. If you are in a situation where you need criminal defense, do whatever it takes to hire competent defense. DO NOT jus hire ANY lawyer.

Mr. Eads, thank you for taking the time to write a review. Each and every review, both positive and negative helps the firm and myself to learn how to better serve clients. I am sorry that you had a negative experience with the firm. I am also sorry that that you weren’t able to give us the needed time to get you your desired outcome on the case. As you know, cases such as yours are difficult and it takes time and understanding to achieve acceptable results. As you know, our firm was the fourth attorney that you retained or that was assigned on the case. I feel that both the firm and myself went above and beyond to try and achieve an outcome that you would feel comfortable with. Like all my clients, I gave you options on how we could proceed, along with possible outcomes of each decision. I followed your decision on how you wanted your case to proceed, while giving you guidance. As you know, prosecutors have a wide range of discretion on the outcome of the case. Sometimes they allow personal feelings to influence their use of this discretion. That is something that no defense attorney has control over. That being said, I wish you and your current attorney the best of luck with your case in process.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
