Repeated Client

I decided to give Mr. Tubb another chance even though he didn't show up for trial in my first case but he successfuly appealed the decision at no cost to me. I would not advice anyone to keep large retainer with him. He keeps very minimum office hours and hard to get hold off. He is great on dragging... his work to maximize his billing. A lot of cheap talk and short on delivery. Didn't get billed for several months until my retainer was fully depleted.

While I regret that you feel I treated you unfairly, in the interest of fairness and accuracy, I must state my perception of what occurred. I clearly communicated to you while I represented you that your actions and decisions made it necessary for me to withdraw from your case. Even though such withdrawal was my only option, I have kept meticulous records of the specific ways I have assisted your new counsel. For that and many other reasons, your criticisms surprise me. We discussed the cost of the services I was performing throughout the time that I represented you. We spoke regularly about your case. With regard to your accusation that I was unavailable, you had my personal cell phone number, as all of my clients do, and you could have called me at any time and I would have responded as soon as reasonably possible. We also exchanged dozens of emails in the four months that I represented you. I always want to make sure I have done everything I can to assist my clients. If you believe there is more I can do to assist you or your new counsel, please get in touch with me at your earliest convenience so that I can better understand that perception and continue to do the best I can to assist you. I hope your case goes well. Rick Tubb

Repeated client

I have known J. Richard Tubb for many years and have called on him for legal help twice. In each case he handled my matter in a responsible and expeditious manner. His professionalism and integrity make him one of the more trusted lawyers I have ever met or worked with. Unlike others, he takes th...e "stop, look and listen" approach before responding to a legal issue. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Tubb or utilize his services in the future.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
