Biography
Ify Ononogbu practices federal immigration law. Ms. Ononogbu's interest in immigration law stems from her family’s experience navigating the immigration system.
Her personal experience as a first generation child to immigrant parents affords her a unique perspective and compassion for her clients. She received her Bachelors of Arts from Baylor University, her Juris Doctor from American University’s Washington College of Law and her LLM from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
While in law school, she worked with immigrant clients through Legal Aid Justice Center’s immigrant advocacy program and as a Wage Justice fellow at Justice at Work. She also volunteered with various organizations and traveled to South Africa, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic serving indigent populations.
She speaks fluent Spanish.
