Wow!

I was in dallas jail for an aggravated assault and 2 state jail dope cases. The state jail cases had no bonds and the aggravated assault was at $50,000. My attorney told me that the offer was 10 years and he couldn’t do anything about the no bonds. Someone in my tank gave me Mr. Jeffrey’s card and my... family called him. We hired him on Tuesday and on Thursday I was in court and the aggravated assault was reduced to a misdemeanor and I got time served on it and on the state jails I got 12:44a with time served. I was told before I hired Mr. Jeffrey that I would have to wait in jail until my trial date. Can’t believe I got out so fast with misdemeanors!

Glad I called

I was on felony probation and was arrested on 2 new cases. The attorney the court gave me told me I needed to take 2 years in prison. I heard about Mr. Jeffrey in the jail and my family called and hired him. He worked out a deal the flextime day where I would do 60 days in the county and back on prob...ation. I’m very glad I didn’t take the 2 years the other attorney told me to take. Call him!!!

Dismissed!

I had 2 evading arrest cases that were old because my old attorney had been passing them. My immigration attorney told me I needed them to be class c’s or dismissed but I was only offered probation. I hired Tim and after a couple of weeks he told me that the da agreed to dismiss both cases if I donat...ed 20 jars of peanut butter to a food bank. I did that yesterday and today both cases dismissed!!

Not just a good lawyer, a good man.

Tim has been my lawyer for 5 years now. I was arrested multiple times for multiple offenses. Mostly possession but all related to my addiction. It wasn't about just getting me off or reducing my sentences. Tim understood that I needed help and that the criminal justice is unfortunately the only tool ...the state of Texas uses to "rehabilitate" addicts. He was the best counselor I could have asked for. He was able to communicate my needs to the judge when I couldn't. I did have to do SAFP/Prison time but that was because I could not stay clean for years despite giving it everything I had. I relapsed multiple times. I know my judge was ready to give up on me but Tim was able to convince him to give me one last try, though I had to go open plea because the judges hands would have been tied if I hadn't. Somehow I finally was able to get it right. After 17 years of trying to kick my addiction, I have finally done it. (One day at a time of course) Point is, he could have given up on me. By every measure I was a lost cause. Everyone knew I WANTED to stay clean, I just couldn't figure out how. That was 15 months ago. I'm a sophomore in college now at the age of 35 and have a 3.83 GPA. I have a girlfriend who has never used drugs I plan on marrying in March of next year before I transfer to the University of Oklahoma. I'm still on probation and will be for a while but out of all my charges (and there were many) I only have 1 felony conviction. The rest are deferred. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that I had Tim as a lawyer. I'm living proof that you can never predict when someone will be able to finally stay clean and become a productive positive contributor to society instead of being a waste of tax payer dollars, locked up behind bars unable to better myself or anything else. That's a big deal to me and it should be a big deal to everyone else too. Any paid lawyer can get your bond reduced. Any paid lawyer can get you probation instead of time. Tim didn't give up on me and he used the tools at his disposal as a lawyer to get me the help I needed.
