Sounia Senemar

Sounia Senemar joined McCathern’s Dallas office as an Associate Attorney in 2017. Prior to joining McCathern, Sounia gained valuable experience assisting in all stages of trial preparation, including the drafting of memorandums on legal issues, drafting pleadings, and reviewing discovery material. In addition, Sounia worked as the Vice President of Business Development of a healthcare conglomerate in Houston, Texas. Her background has given her a broad understanding in several areas of law including Health Care Compliance, Health Care Fraud, Qui Tam Litigation, White Collar Crime, Complex Commercial Litigation, Oil & Gas, Medical Malpractice, and Insurance claims. Sounia’s experience and knowledge coupled with her incredible work ethic and passion to improve people’s lives make her an invaluable addition to the McCathern team.

Sounia earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law–Houston, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. While in law school, Sounia received multiple CALI Awards for Legal Research & Writing, Federal Rules of Evidence, and Secured Transactions. She was named to the Dean’s Honor List several times and ranked in the top 10% of her class. Sounia obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Houston—Victoria, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude as well.

Sounia was admitted to practice law in the State of Texas in 2017. She was born and raised in Iran and moved to the United States when she was 17. She is fluent in both English and Farsi. Sounia loves animals, arts, music and sports which includes playing basketball in her spare time. She loves to travel and has been backpacking in several different continents including Asia, Europe, and North America.
