Rijon Charne

Ms. Charne represents the best legal counsel I could have asked for. She listened actively to my concerns, made me feel heard and understood, and came up with a creative way of helping me overcome a contractual issue I didn't myself see any real solution to. She did all of this on an incredibly short...ened, expedited timeline, without sacrificing her superior client advocacy or rapport-building skills. Rijon was recommended to me by my good friend John who had used Rijon as his attorney and trusted advisor through his complex fertility journey. I had always assumed it was a straightforward process and that all the parties involved, like the agencies, fertility doctors and clinic, would give me ever...ything I needed, and communicate with each other effectively to go from start to baby, but boy was I wrong. After running into surrogacy sourcing challenges with the one agency I knew, I was introduced to Rijon, who was not only able to help me structure my contract (which we’ll get into later) but was so helpful in navigating me through the fertility journey and introducing me to a few other agencies which were better suited for my needs. While Rijon is a lawyer by trade, she’s way more than that! She's a true fertility expert and we all need a captain at sea to chart this crazy course. I was a bit neurotic about the surrogacy process and without Rijon’s help once, I felt so lost. She was masterful in negotiating my contract, she helped me understand the process the surrogate needs to go through from conception to birth, and of course she helped me get the parentage rights for the child. She helped answer some really interesting questions that I hadn’t thought about only until after I had my baby boy, Hunter, in my arms. Who would have thought that you need to really figure out what rights the surrogate has over the child once they’re born?!? Anyway, Rijon was incredibly professional, thoughtful, patient and caring with me as I went through this very emotional process. It is also very expensive, so you never want to make a mistake or have people around you that don't have your best interests at heart. Rijon helped me so much with finding the right people for my journey! I feel blessed to have had Rijon recommended to me and would ONLY recommend Rijon to anyone who has a fertility case. Rijon was a welcome change from attorneys I’ve worked with in the past. She has a deep heart and it felt like she was my partner in my journey to having Hunter, my sweet blue eyed baby boy!
