Criminal Defense 80%

My experience included being lead counsel in over forty felony and misdemeanor jury trials. I feel a duty to do my part to ensure people get competent legal counsel when accused of a crime.

Insurance 10%

These are the type of cases I like the most. The reason is because I caught an insurance company trying to take advantage of my mother a couple of years ago. They paid for that mistake. Now I'd like to take what I learned from that case to help others with the same type of problem

Personal Injury 10%

Too many of these cases get handled by what we attorneys call 'settlement mills'. These are law firms that sign up large numbers of cases with no intention of ever going to trial. I personally don't take a case unless I'm willing to take it to trial. I personally supervise every case that I'm the lead attorney on.

Proffesional and Knowledgeable

My experience with attorneys in the past haven't been that pleasant. I have been led to believe things that weren't necessarily true and for that matter has left a bad taste in my mouth. Recently my wife was incarcerated on a probation violation resulting from a drug case. She was revoked and possibl...y looking at quite a bit of jail time. She was appointed attorney Michael Ray Harris for representation. My wife had some mental health concerns that i was sure was gonna be her downfall in her case. Her Attorney walked us step by step through the process of mental health cases and ended up helping Brandi get to a hospital and treated for her illness prior to her court appearance. He also help get her through the court process very quickly and sufficiently. He was able to get my wife all the time credited to her while she was in the hospital and get her time served on her case in only four months. He not only got her help but he got her home fast. Because of this man my faith in attorneys is being restored. He is very professional and straight forward in his actions and demands with the court. I would definitely recommend Michael Ray Harris for criminal representation. Thank you for treating us like people and meeting our needs in such a professional way.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
