Review of Christopher Lake, attorney

Chris is a very attentive attorney that keeps your best interests in mind. He is ethical and trustworthy and keeps you focused on the issues at hand. His guidance was always spot on and I would trust him with my total well being. For anyone going through a divorce, Chris helps you see things thro...ugh a lens that gives you clarity on all aspects of your situation enabling you to make decisions toward the course of action to take. If I ever require a divorce attorney again, you can bet that it will be Chris Lake without question.

2012 Divorce Client

I was recommended to Chris Lake by a close family friend who works in the legal field and who has knowledge of Mr. Lake and his excellent reputation around the Dallas / Ft Worth area. I contacted his law firm after learning my wife had filed for divorce without my knowledge. Having no divorce in my... family history, I didn't know what to expect or even the steps needed to dissolve a 26 year marriage. Upon my friend’s recommendation, I reached out to Chris and set up the initial meeting. I found him to be personable, interested in my loss, professional and caring. I never felt like just another client. Chris quickly guided me as we made short work of the goal and desired outcome of the divorce step by step. Never vindictive, I was also amazed with how well he worked and communicated with the other attorney, mediator and court as we moved through the process. If I had a short question, I simply emailed Chris who quickly responded, short and to the point, never excessive. I never wanted for information; I was kept informed throughout the entire process. I’ve heard horror stories of attorneys, who send excessive communications, schedule unwarranted meetings, analyze “what went wrong” and basically drag the legal process out. My experience was absolutely the opposite. His guidance was spot on. The direction we needed to go well defined. Chris and his supporting staff were well organized and efficient. While I will always deeply regret the failure of the marriage, I deeply appreciate the legal support, guidance and work that Chris Lake provided to my family and I. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone facing family issues requiring sound, ethical representation without hesitation. I am also encouraged with the knowledge that I found an honest attorneys who I always felt was on my side. I am certain that I would not have reached the desired outcome had it not been for Chris and his team. Thank you Chris -

A great lawyer who truly cares

Chris Lake handled my divorce with professionalism and integrity at every turn. I had just about every possible issue that needed to be dealt with in my divorce and Chris was able to help me work through each of these problems. I found him to be very reliable and he worked hard to listen and to under...stand what I found to be important so that when my case was over I was happy to get what I wanted from the divorce. I would recommend him to friend or family anytime they needed the best in a divorce attorney.

Chris Lake was sensitive to my needs and listened to my problems. He delivered what he promised--timely and on budget.

Chris Lake is a polite, straight-forward attorney. Chris was sensitive to my needs and authentically listened to my concerns and problems. He did not make unrealistic promises, instead he give me candid advise and delivered on his plan. I had to deal with an ex-husband that repeatedly made-up fact...s; attempted to turn my kids against me; and destroy my new marriage. Chris stopped all of that nonsense and shut down the greedy ex-husband. Chris also counseled me on issues regarding my marriage. Chris is honest and just a nice person. He made me feel like an important client. If results alone define a lawyer, Chris Lake is the greatest!

A STRONG ATTORNEY WITH INTEGRITY IN AND OUT OF THE COURT ROOM ALWAYS LOOKING OUT FOR THE BEST INTEREST OF ME AND MY CHILDREN

I would not wish divorce upon my worst enemy. But if you find yourself going through one like I did, you need Chris Lake. Like most, I was skeptical of attorneys/lawyers. However, Mr. Lake was referred to me by someone that I trusted. I was and continue to be so thankful for that positive referra...l. Not only was he knowledgeable in the law, he was very practical too. When I was unrealistic, he would kindly help me to understand the process and what to expect - both positive and negative. He did not sugar coat. He was a great listener too. Throughout the process, when I wanted to fall on my sword or I actually broke down in tears, he understood with gentle human compassion. He fought for me and my children when I was too distraught to do so or think clearly. In times when I wanted to act vengefully towards my ex for all of the pain that they caused, Mr. Lake would let me know that he would be the hammer and do what I wanted him to do. But at the same time, he would let me know that some of the things that I wanted were both expensive and would not really accomplish what I wanted or needed. He was always professional. I was comforted by his integrity and knowledge of family law. He was strong from the time of filing, during the temporary orders and custody, mediation, and the final divorce. Not only does he "know his stuff", he is respected by his peers. At one time was the Chair of the Dallas Bar Association Family Law Section. At times when his paralegal and other staff were involved, they were great. He built a strong team as well. He utilized them effectively to keep my costs down. Subsequently, my ex did not comply with the decree and I had to go back to court. Mr. Lake was there again for me. Reconcile if you can, but if you cannot, you need Chris Lake.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I highly endorse this lawyer. I first met Chris Lake when I worked as an opposing counsel in a case against him. The case and the clients were highly contentious-requiring a three day mediation. I was so impressed with his abilities and the ethical way in which he handled the case that he has now become my firm's go to referral for family law cases. He has all the requisite intelligence and ability of the sharpest family lawyers, yet his ethics and desire for peaceful resolution, where possible, leads him to find creative solutions where others fail."
