As a lawyer myself, I was very picky about who would represent me when I needed it most. Like others, I initially made the mistake of hiring a low-cost attorney. And I got what I paid for so I fired him. My next lawyer was much more expensive. More expensive must mean he's a better lawyer, right?... No. In fact, not only did he not learn the facts of my file, but the final straw that led to his firing just before mediation was that he didn't even take the time to learn my kids' names.
