George W. Freeman

George Freeman is an attorney in the Dallas office of Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young LLP. He conducts litigation and docket management for several of the Firm’s major clients. His work encompasses motion practice, all facets of discovery and pre-trial work, mediation and settlement. George was Associate General Counsel for MCI Telecommunications from 1995-2001. Along with three other attorneys, he developed and implemented MCI’s national policy for use of public rights-of-way. He was involved at every level from local permitting to lobbying legislatures and drafting proposed statutes for telecommunications land use. From 2001-2003, he was an associate in a national law firm in their telecommunications land use and regulatory practice. In 2003, he joined the Firm to conduct product liability, personal injury, and premises liability litigation and docket management.  He has successfully resolved approximately 1500 state and federal court cases involving toxic tort claims, dramatically reducing litigation dockets for several clients. These cases were resolved through a combination of aggressive pre-trial work and negotiation and typically without paying claims. He has also represented Firm clients in cases involving employment law and real estate loan default.
