Sammie Mcqueen Smith

I’m a fireman by profession with 22 years on the job and Sammie was recommended to me by our of our brothers – she and I both being Aggies was icing on the cake, If you’re an Aggie, OR a fireman, you know how strong the Aggie Network and the Brotherhood is, and (she didn’t know it, but based on that)... she was hired before I had even had the initial consult with her. My father is a divorce attorney by profession, and gave me some good intel before I signed the retainer. When (halfway through mediation) a lawyer says “her [your ex-wife’s] lawyer got out-lawyered” it’s a pretty high compliment coming from another lawyer, and both Sammie and our mediator earned EVERY NICKEL I paid them. One of the things I was told by my father going into it is “if everyone comes out of mediation pissed off, that’s a sign of a good mediation”. There was some give and take, and I had to give up some things in exchange for getting some other things I wanted, but give and take is what mediation is all about; in the end I walked out of mediation feeling like I hit the lottery and got all of the bigger-ticket items I wanted. Sammie does a LOT of work for firemen – in fact she told me a few weeks ago that most of her business now is firemen who have referred firemen who have referred firemen, etc and she’s considering the slogan “Let me fight your fires for you”. If you’re on the job…. Sammie is your gal. No questions asked. She will work her butt off for you. She presented things in a way that were “dumbed down to fireman level”, and I can’t say enough good things about her. I also can’t say enough about Stuart Brown, of Brown Richardson, in Allen, who was our mediator in this case. PHENOMENAL job on his part. He also earned EVERY nickel, given some of the more complicated issues of our case. Great job to both Sammie and Stuart for each of their awesome work in resolving our case.

I highly recommend Sammie to anyone who is having to undergo a child custody case. She has been nothing but compassionate, honest, positive, and trustworthy. She has been sensitive to my case and is always willing to go the extra mile. Her responses to my questions were always answered timely and com...pletely and I felt confident going to trial with her by my side.
