Craig E. Miley

Craig Miley graduated with honors from the University of Texas in 1976 and attended graduate studies in Political Economy before attending law school. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1980. He was first certified in Immigration and Nationality Law in 1987 by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and the Southern Districts.

As an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, he has served as Dallas Section Coordinator, Executive Committee CIS District Liaison and is the past Chair of the Texas Chapter (serving Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico). He has served as Chair of the Immigration and Naturalization Service Texas Service Center Liaison Committee on behalf of the entire American Immigration Lawyers Association as well as the Chair of the Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS – formerly INS) Missouri Service Center Committee and Chair of the CIS National Benefits Center Liaison Committee. He has also been a member of the CIS Service Center Operations Liaison Committee. Mr. Miley has also served on the Advisory Commission to the Texas Board of Legal Specialization as well as the Texas State Bar Committee on Laws Relating to Immigration and Nationality. He has also served as a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association Board of Governors and has served on numerous AILA committees.

In 1997 he was listed by D Magazine as one of five immigration attorneys in their article titled “The 250 Best Lawyers in Dallas/Fort Worth”. In 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 he was listed by Texas Monthly as a “Texas Super Lawyer.” And, he has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for each of the past twelve years.
