About me

The "go-to" lawyer for his clients no matter what the issue, Rob has developed a reputation for his aggressive, zealous representation of both businesses and individuals alike. Known for his creative approach to oral argument in both state and federal courts, Rob has carved a name for himself in a profession sadly marred by mediocrity and a tired, inefficient approach to handling a client's needs.

"I trust Rob to handle whatever legal hurdles come my way," says one client. "Whether it's for my business or something personal, I know there's nobody else that can tackle my problems with his razor-sharp wit and penchant for success."

A New York native, Rob packed his bags and headed to Texas after graduating from Rutgers University in New Jersey to attend Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Prior to joining the ranks of Deans & Lyons, he practiced with a large, full-service national firm.

Rob has prosecuted and defended matters for Fortune 50 companies, small businesses, and individuals, trying cases in both state and federal courts. Unlike many of Rob's "litigator" peers, he routinely appears in court and at depositions, mediations, and arbitrations-- tasks usually reserved for the "senior partner" at other law firms. This experience makes Rob an especially proud attorney. "I recognize that hiring a lawyer is the last thing people want to do with their hard-earned money," Rob says. "But my clients have come to realize that impressive legal representation doesn't always take impressive legal fees-- or impressive grey hair."

While his experience runs the gamut, Rob devotes most of his time to business and intellectual property litigation, handling matters ranging from breach of contract to patent infringement.  He also handles select personal injury matters involving significant damages and large-scale construction defect disputes.
