Joseph Strickland is a nationally recognized trial attorney, with experience in complex State and Federal criminal cases across Texas.

A native of San Antonio, TX, Mr. Strickland was raised on the banks of the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, TX, where he attended high school, and captained the football team as an all-state defensive end, leading them to the State Championship in his senior year.
Mr. Strickland holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Texas (‘07 B.B.A), a Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law (‘10 J.D.), and is licensed to practice law in the Federal Western District of Texas, as well as every State, County, Municipal and Justice court throughout Texas.
In 2021, Mr. Strickland joined Trey Porter Law to add his hardened skills and experience to the firm’s established foundation of delivering uncompromising results and client-first service.

Best Dallas DUI Lawyer
This lawyer was incredible for my DUI case in Dallas. Always kept me posted on what was going on and I only had to go down to that nasty courthouse once! He clearly knew what he was doing and I felt confident in him the whole time.

Great DFW lawyer!
I was charged with DWI in Dallas and was terrified about going to court but once I met Mr Strickland there I knew I was safe and everything was going to be ok. He clearly knows what he is doing in court but more than that is great with people and making you feel like everything is ok.
