Byron C. Prescott has a national practice representing developers, investors, lenders, profit participants, institutions, syndicators, landlords, tenants, brokers, managers and real estate advisors, special servicers and real estate investment trusts in the development, acquisition, disposition, financing, sale-leaseback, leasing and management of office buildings/complexes, multi‑use developments, industrial buildings/parks, regional malls and shopping centers, free-standing retail centers, hotels and resorts, condominium regimes, senior living communities, luxury apartments, master-planned residential communities and medical facilities. Byron also represents banks and other lending institutions on loan transactions, workouts of distressed and defaulting loans, modifications of loans and foreclosures for commercial real estate. Byron also represents clients on the purchase and the sale of notes secured by real property as well as borrowers in connection with commercial loan and project finance transactions secured by all forms of real and personal property including inventory, machinery, equipment, furniture, fixtures, negotiable and non‑negotiable instruments.

Byron’s prior experience as in-house counsel for a major international institution helps him better understand his clients’ needs and business when it comes to working with large institutions. Byron has coordinated deals from raw idea through to conclusion and actively participates in the decision-making and business process. Byron is attuned to business issues and to the importance of timing in a business transaction as well as exit strategies.
