Effective and professional

Ms. Kasten was very knowledgable about my real estate issue. She gave e my options, estimated costs, and timeline at my initial consultation. Very pleased with the outcome and recommend her to anyone with a real estate issue.

Not even worth $50 an hour

This attorney is not even worth $80 an hour. This attorney charges $300 an hour from Legal Match, and $350 for subsequent new cases, once a relationship is established. She does not disclose the new rate when one open a new case with her. She either arrogantly or ignorantly ignore basis ques...tions on the status of the case; she will not bother to update nor provide a legal advice on a plan of action, even if asked numerously. She provided an address to send original documents, and yet she was surprised that the documents were sent there, because she is never there. She does not have a Legal assistant that can be billed at a lower rate; everything, including copies are billed at the higher rate. She bills through some credit card service, and charge back what the credit service cost; she does not take it as a cost of doing business; this is without disclosing it upfront.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
