Was devastated when I got arrested for DWI. Never been in trouble with the law before, and was mortified when I got this charge. Especially knowing how tough Texas is on DWIs. I heard Jackie specializes in DWI defense, so I met with him and two other lawyers. All three seemed to know what they were t...alking about, but talking with Jackie was the same as talking to a friend. Very laid back, which helped my mindset with the stress. By the time we went to the first few court hearings, Jackie kept resetting my case and working deal after deal with the DA on my case. The DA finally made a pretty good offer, and although I thought it was a good deal, Jackie explained one more option to get an even better one…He wanted to have a hearing and let the Judge decide…this sounded risky at first, but Jackie explained the entire process and we went over the pros and cons…I ultimately agreed, and today we went to our hearing…Jackie and the DA gave their opening statements, I was called to the stand, Jackie and the DA were both asking me questions, and then Jackie gave a great closing statement! It really was like something you see in the movies!!! The Judge took a recess, and came back to tell me if I completed some probation and paid a small fine, then the DWI would NEVER go on my record! It would be a DISMISSAL! Wow!!!  Usually even with probation, a DWI in Texas still stays on your record! Can’t thank Jackie enough for everything his office did for me!

A felony DWI is what I was facing- 18 months jail time was what I had gotten capped at before our final court date. Jackie was confident we could get no time with little probation if we went open plea and he was absolutely right. He fought for me like family and we will forever be thankful that we us...ed him.

I just was deemed unanimously not guilty by a jury of mostly middle aged + women from the heart of Texas for driving while intoxicated. How did I get to this point? I hired Jackie on a feeling as I live in a different state and was only passing thru on work the night of my arrest. I met Jackie for... the first time the morning of the trial. I found him to be very friendly and he set me at ease right away. As trial went into jury selection, he was well prepared. He came with a thought-out slide presentation. Which he used to lay the groundwork for the entire case. When we got into trial he was prepared, he did his research! The State called three witnesses. He calmly and in friendly way discredited all three. Two of which were doctors from the State crime lab. His oratory skills along the research he did prior paid off. I can’t put into words how much I appreciate the passion he put into representing me! He knew it was game day and honestly, he left it all out on the field. I would be writing a very similar review even if it had of gone the other way. It was clear to me he went 100%, what more could you ask? If you’re looking for someone to help guide you thru the legal system do yourself a favor and hire Jackie! I couldn’t be happier I did!!!
