Terry has significant experience working with entrepreneurs and small businesses to help them start and grow their businesses. She provides practical, legal advice to clients who want to acquire a business or franchise, start their own business or sell one. Terry advises on all aspects of starting a business - business formation and planning, business succession planning, employment issues, drafting documents necessary for running and protecting the business, hiring and firing employees and independent contractors, intellectual property, collections, commercial property leases and purchases, business loans and financing, and acquiring and selling a business. She also provides advice and counsel to non-profit corporations with respect to obtaining tax-free status and other corporate matters. She is a volunteer attorney at the Collin County Small Business Development Center where she teaches classes on the Legal Aspects of Starting and Running a Business to entrepreneurs.
