I focus my law practice on helping immigrants to understand the complicated United States immigration system. I represent immigrants when they would like to apply for benefits before the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, when they are arrested by Immigration & Customs Enforcement, and when they must go to Immigration Court. I believe strongly that all immigrants deserve to have an attorney who will really listen to their problems and will offer honest and accurate legal advice.
Before opening Schwamkrug, Freshwater, & Lopez, PLLC, I directed a special program to help detained immigrants at a non-profit organization. As part of this program, I represented immigrants in many different kinds of cases, and I also trained volunteer attorneys to help immigrants.

Outstanding!
I highly recommend Tricia Freshwater to anyone who is needing help with their case. She represented me in an extremely difficult one. There are not enough words to describe how professional, organized, and masterful she is.
"I endorse this lawyer.i have represented a number of criminal defendants where Patricia and her partners represented my client on immigration issues. She is a top notch attorney. She is smart, caring aggressive and imaginative. I highly recommend her."
"I very much respect Tricia as an attorney. She is an extremely intelligent and honest person. I feel very comfortable sending people to her office."
