Gary Ray Warren

I am writing this review because I feel a responsibility to warn other mothers, especially those going through abuse, CPS involvement, or a high-conflict divorce, about my experience with this firm and with the attorney I personally hired: Gary Warren. This is my honest, firsthand experience. I hi...red this firm specifically because Gary Warren told me he would be my attorney. I trusted his experience, his reputation, and his assurances that my extremely complicated divorce from a narcissistic, abusive ex-husband (who is also an attorney) would be handled with care. I believed I would have his representation and oversight. Instead, shortly after I hired him, he disappeared from my case. Without warning, and without my consent, I was informed that someone else—an attorney I had never met—would now be handling my case. I was never told why, never given a choice, and never given a chance to object. I was already terrified, overwhelmed, and trying to protect six children, including one with significant special needs. I needed the attorney I hired. Instead, he was simply gone. Throughout the case, as serious issues piled up—my ex violating orders, withholding child support, CPS involvement, mounting emotional and financial stress—I reached out directly to Gary Warren multiple times. I asked for help, guidance, oversight, or even basic communication from the attorney I originally hired. I was ignored every time. I felt brushed aside, minimized, and abandoned by the person whose name and reputation had convinced me to hire this firm. Meanwhile, the attorney he left me with refused to enforce support, refused to file sanctions, argued against nearly every request I made, and left me and my children surviving on food stamps for almost a year. She made decisions without telling me, left major protections out of the final decree, and caused mistakes that will cost me more than $1 million in future income. These errors destroyed my financial future at age 53, while I care for a special-needs child who cannot be left alone. I expected Mr. Warren to step in long before my case reached this point. He never did. At one point, the firm agreed to reduce my remaining bill by almost $30,000, but only in connection with me signing a waiver I raised during the discussion. Regardless of how it came up, it felt like they were trying to resolve the situation financially instead of addressing the severe damage that had already been done. The most devastating moment came at the final hearing. Earlier in the case, I had asked the assigned attorney to withdraw, but the judge denied it, so she told me she had to appear at the final hearing and that I would be required to pay her. I expected her to remain beside me if I needed her, and I expected oversight from the attorney I originally hired—Gary Warren. Instead, she ran up to the judge, acted as if she had no understanding of the case, and used that moment to separate herself from me. Under pressure, shocked and stressed, with the judge staring at me, I signed her withdrawal. I never intended to be left without counsel at the most important hearing of my divorce. Yet that is exactly what happened. I stood there alone, shaking and crying, while the orders that control the rest of my life were entered with no attorney beside me. No one—not even Mr. Warren—stepped in. I am filing a formal complaint with the State Bar of Texas and have extensive documentation, including emails and recordings. The lack of oversight, communication, and accountability I experienced under Gary Warren’s representation caused devastating, lifelong consequences. I do not want any other vulnerable mother to be put in the position I was left in. This is my lived experience. Please be careful, ask hard questions, and protect yourself.

This attorney and office staff were very helpful and patient with me and my sister as we were trying to establish a will for our aging mother who is in a facility out of town. They were able to do this remotely while I was in one location and my mother in another. This was not our first interactio...n with this attorney and it will not be our last. He is always helpful, respectful, and accommodating to the needs of his clients. I highly recommend this office for your family’s legal needs.

I have visited so many attorneys for consultations, (for my specific QDRO issue) I've encountered attorneys who claimed to have experience with this specific legal issue, only to learn (After I'd paid a retainer & several hourly payments) that the only thing the attorneys had accomplished, was collec...ting my money. I had been handling this issue alone (not by choice) for over a year. I'd gotten to the point that I would literally feel ill the night before I had a consultation with a new attorney. I prayed that God would direct me to someone with Integrity, someone who would generally care, have my best interest in heart (instead of his pocket) and who would see me as a HUMAN who NEED HONEST help, instead of a dollar sign. I learned of Attorney Gary Warren. It was like a breath of fresh air, to speak with an attorney who was so Transparent, Compassionate and who took the time to Patiently listen & ask questions, until he understood the specific issue. I informed Attorney Warren that I'd contacted a Pension Plan Professional (Mr. Harlan) who was willing to be a witness (for lack of a better word) if needed, for my QDRO issue. Attorney Warren was quite humble and didn't view this as a "negative" towards his ability. Attorney Warren even presented me with payment quotes/options that I can afford. I don't feel that a lot of attorneys care enough, to realized the utter devistation that's created, when they do not represent their clients, the way they'd want to be represented. An attorney's Integrity is the best advertisement he/she can provide. I pray that more attorneys will aquire what Attorney Gary Warren has attained.... "Integrity".

We had a major family crisis with my teenage baby brother that effected his future education and future in general. My spouse and I needed to obtain legal rights that would allow us to choose the school for which my brother would attend. The alternative options were very bleak and scary for me as h...is sister. We met with another attorney and he told us it would take at least 6 - 9 months to achieve our goal. We only had 3 weeks before school started. We met with Mr. Warren, devised a plan, executed the plan and problem was solved. Mr. Warren is a great problem solver and he helped us not give up.

I went to Mr. Warren for a simple custrody transfer from one state to another and paid $750 to file the proper paperwork with the court (part of that being the filing fee). After a lot of back and forth the case was handed off to a junior member of the firm. After providing a certified copy to the f...irm and waiting a couple weeks, I was told the custody agreement was filed in Dallas County and I was all set. Lo and behold, when a custody issue came up, I found out Dallas did NOT have jurisdiction. I went to another attorney and discovered that the agreement was never transferred. All the firm did was file a copy of the agreement with the County - there was no transfer. Mr. Warren is very personable, but in the end did not provide what was paid for.
