Kelly Elizabeth Powers

I moved to Dallas in 2006 and immediately began working in the legal field. I started out as a legal assistant in a small Personal Injury firm reviewing client medical records. From there, I moved into a Case Management role directing my clients through the several phases of a personal injury claim.

In 2009, I started at one of the largest Personal Injury firms in Dallas serving as the lead paralegal to the founding partner. I worked in this position while I attended law school at Texas A&M University School of Law. After passing the bar exam, I was promoted to Managing Attorney. I lead the firm through every aspect of a personal injury case, from the initial client call all the way through trial preparation and litigation.

I am passionate about helping people, especially through times of distress and confusion. I feel lucky to help people everyday. It is an honor for me to be chosen by someone as their lawyer. This is why I started my own practice. In my field, many cases can be life-changing events. I believe I can minimize the negative impact of those events through the law.

In 2016, I began volunteering as a mentor to law students at UNT Dallas School of Law. I specifically chose to mentor the part-time evening students because I was once one of them. I enjoy getting to know the students and helping them navigate their way through law school.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, theater, traveling, spending time with my family and my two dogs - Jasper & Allie.
