My wife was disabled she had memory loss from a head injury and was not physically able to even walk most of the time for two years we went through this social security system they sent us to a couple of doctors one spent about 30 minutes with her and told her that this is what this building Social S...ecurity Disability is for people like you and and then of course you have to go to another doctor we went in there he spent less than a minute with her and sent in and told them she didn't need disability I don't know how he could figure that out in a minute but I think they come up with I think Social Security comes up with these doctors that don't that are not supposed to put people up for disability I don't understand for all her medical records showed her disability we did this for 2 years and then we went to coats and Todd and they said they will get help us out so we had to do the forms all over again and send them in there they said they were going to pull all her medical records and we waited and waited and we'd call so what's going on they said well we're waiting for him to sign her her case too somebody I don't know if it's with the Social Security that was their answer every time I we called same answer we're waiting we're waiting we're waiting well you know they waited four years and she finally died you finally died so so guys there's our social security system that's supposed to take care of our people that need to be taken care of coats and Todd they just kept getting on the back burners they didn't care they didn't have they they wouldn't put in the work that it took to get it done and then they then she finally died if we could have got her on disability we could have got her on Medicare and got her good medical attention to help her out but they didn't do it 4 years 4 years you can't get something done in 4 years I get angry just thinking about it do not use coats and Todd they're very they don't care about you they don't care about you Social Security don't care about you

I regret ever contacting Coats and Todd. Catherine Coats is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. I suffer from autism and at the advice of my doctor, I applied for SSDI. I went through the intake process with coats and todd and a few days later, received a letter from Cather...ine Coats insinuating that I was not disabled and did not have a case. This was even after several doctors and counselors had documented otherwise. I then sent a message to them expressing my dissatisfaction with their response and got a personal phone call from Mrs. Coats. She proceeded to go on a tirade telling me that my condition was not severe and that I am capable of working; all without ever taking the time to learn the details of my case. Again, this contradicts everything my doctors have documented. She said because I have worked in the past, have a masters degree and since many famous people have autism, that automatically means I am not qualified to receive disability benefits. She even stalked my Facebook page and saw where I used to be self-employed (which I am no longer), and said that would also hurt my chances. She also proceeded to give me a lecture on what autism is and is not and told me I was wrong about how my autism affects me. She did all this knowing I am autistic and how such an attack could affect me mentally and emotionally. I would recommend that anyone with a mental disability seeking SSDI steer clear of this law firm.
