Conner joined Haugen Law Firm P.C. as a law clerk in 2013 while pursuing his legal education and MBA. Today, he serves as a family law litigation attorney, representing clients through some of the most significant and challenging transitions of their lives.
Having grown up in a blended family as one of nine siblings, Conner understands firsthand the complexities that can arise when families change and evolve. With five siblings who are also attorneys, he learned early the value of preparation, perseverance, and hard work. Those experiences helped shape his approach to family law, where he focuses on conflict resolution, child-centered advocacy, and practical solutions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
While attending Texas Tech University School of Law, Conner dedicated much of his time to developing his trial advocacy skills. Through participation on numerous National Mock Trial teams and his service as Vice Chair of Mock Trial for the Board of Barristers, he gained extensive courtroom experience and developed the skills necessary to effectively advocate for clients at trial. His trial abilities were recognized through his selection as a recipient of the J. Hadley Edgar Trial Excellence Award.
Following graduation, Conner continued his commitment to trial advocacy by serving as a mock trial coach for Texas Tech School of Law from 2020 through 2025, mentoring law students and helping them develop the courtroom skills necessary to become effective advocates.
Conner believes the best outcome in a family law matter is often one reached without the need for trial, allowing families to preserve resources, reduce conflict, and minimize the impact on children. However, when litigation becomes necessary, he approaches each case with careful preparation, strong advocacy, and a commitment to guiding his clients through every step of the process.
Conner currently serves as President of the Denton County Young Lawyers Association for the 2026-2027 term, after serving the organization during the 2025-2026 term. Through his involvement with the DCYLA, Conner remains committed to supporting the local legal community, promoting professional development, and serving fellow attorneys.
Conner is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor extended to a select group of Texas attorneys each year. Only one-third of one percent of Texas attorneys are invited to become Fellows annually, recognizing members of the profession who demonstrate outstanding professional achievement and a commitment to service.
Conner is licensed to practice law in Texas and New Mexico.

DWI case
Right before Thanksgiving 2020, I was charged with a DWI. Immediately, I sought out legal counsel and was told that John Haugen has a lot of experience with DWI cases. Not long after I got the process started, John gave the case over to his son, Conner Haugen. To be honest, I was uneasy when this hap...
