At the initial consult, he was very warm, welcoming, and said he was very interested in my case. He told us that when we were ready to move forward, we could call and he would be there the next day to take the retainer check and file paperwork. We were quoted a $10,000 retainer, so this took a while to gather, but we felt confident moving forward with him in our custody modification case. As the situation escalated, we made sure we had the money, and I reached back out to see how we could with him. A meeting was schedule for a month later, his earliest available, which is understandable. However, we arrived to the meeting and he was not there. Neither was his paralegal. We were not given so much as a courtesy phone call or email letting us know he wasn't going to be there. Another lawyer in the firm sat down with us, never introduced herself, and attempted to take our retainer check and get more information about the case from us. We were hesitant to hand over the money to anyone but Chad directly and asked to reschedule so we could meet with the actual lawyer we were hiring. We were assured that Chad's paralegal would reach out the next day to reschedule with us. This never happened. I sent an email 48 hours later following up to reschedule with his paralegal, and I never heard anything back. With my children's well being in danger, I was extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and inability to even return an email or phone call. I had to find another lawyer after being pushed off for an entire month already. I would be cautious in hiring him if you are in an urgent or emergent situation.
