NO NO NO

I’ll keep it short and to the point. Mr. Beggs represented me on several occasions from 2000 to 2014. I found his services reflected all of the one star reviews previously posted.

The Man

I hired Jim while I was in a mess with Child Protective Services that was turning worse every day. If it were not for Jim Beggs concluding the matter with class and dignity I would probably still be in hot water, drowning in it. He always answered my calls. He was on time, I trusted him and he did ...not let me down. Professionalism? Jim is the man!

Confused, that’s a good term

Used Mr. Beggs twice from 2000 to 2006. My assessment of Beggs services pretty much mirrors the other reviews on this page. Doesn’t return calls, seems confused. I could say more, but you get the picture.

Terrible Lawyer Who Sues Clients

Jim Beggs ran up a huge legal bill fighting the wrong issues in my divorce matter. He encouraged me to work in his office late at night alone with him. I finally left him for another attorney who completed my case successfully. Beggs is unresponsive, confused by simple legal issues, predatory, and, a...fter I left him he sued me for legal fees. That lawsuit is still going on. I have learned that he has a pattern of running up big bills, accomplishing nothing for his clients, then suing the client to collect fees. I regret that I ever hired him.

Worst Lawyer EVER!

Didn't keep me informed of court dates, failed to represent me once, had on two occasions two other lawyers represent me without my prior notification, dropped the ball continuously and cost me 50,000 and then had the nerve to charge me another 12,000.00. Does not return phone calls or emails or text...s in a timely manner. Usually have to call several times and maybe would respond after about a month. This man is totally unprofessional and worthless. Do not hire him, you will be sorry.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
