Shelby Don Hart

Shareholder and Attorney Shelby Hart has long been associated with our firm and is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, which is among roughly 1% of attorneys in the State of Texas that have attained this professional achievement. He interned with Coker, Robb & Cannon, Family Lawyers while in college and law school, obtaining experience with all facets of the firm as an intern, legal assistant, paralegal, law clerk, attorney, and now shareholder in the firm. While attending and graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2016, Shelby attended the University of Oxford, in Oxford, England, over a summer semester to further his legal education. He is also an alum of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Government in 2013.

In 2023 and 2024, Shelby was named as a Rising Star by the prestigious Super Lawyers magazine. Shelby was also named as Best Lawyers: One To Watch in America for 2022 and 2023. Shelby is incredibly passionate about helping his clients with all types of family law matters and has helped countless families navigate the complexities of family law and reach the best possible outcomes for themselves and their children. Over the years, Shelby has gained a reputation for his ability to handle even the most complex cases with care, skill, and professionalism. Shelby has handled all types of family law matters throughout his career, including but not limited to divorces involving multi-million dollar estates, representing current and past players of the National Football League, child custody, child support, property division, spousal support, marital agreements, enforcements, and adoption. Shelby strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients through careful analysis of their unique circumstances and needs by providing personalized and effective representation to each and every client.

In addition to his work as a family law attorney, Shelby is an active member of the legal community in Collin County with the Collin County Bar Association – Family Law Section and Collin County Young Lawyers Association.

Shelby and his wife are the proud parents of a daughter and two dogs, Rolly and Belle. Mr. Hart is an avid sports fan including watching Texas Longhorns football, his favorite soccer team, Arsenal, Formula 1, and golf. He and his family enjoy traveling and adventuring around the world, visiting all things Disney, and spending time with their pups in the great outdoors.
