Carroll Ashley Covert

I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and my Master's Degree in Constitutional Law Studies. Following graduate school, I was a paralegal for three years working primarily in civil ligitation. I knew from the beginning of college that I wanted to be an attorney, however, I wanted to work in the legal field before making the mental and financial committment to go to law school. I graduated South Texas College of Law Houston in May 2017 and became licensed in November 2017. 

During law school, one of the most frequent questions you're asked is, "What type of law do you want to practice?" For me, there was no hestitation, as I knew I wanted to practice family law. That being said, I quickly learned that family law is one of the more competitive fields to work in, let alone get experience in. My internships during law school included the Collin County District Attorney's Office where I interned in the Crimes Against Children division and the Harris County Attorney's Office as a Public Law intern. I also participated in my law school's veteran's clinic where I assisted veteran's in obtaining service connected disability. 

Following law school, I represented clients with personal injury claims and Federal Worker's Compensation Claims through the Department of Labor. Finally, I have my dream job as a family law attorney with Coker, Robb and Cannon, Family Lawyers. Since my time with CRC, I have participated in divorce, modification/child support and adoption cases. 

My husband and I have two fur babies, Basil and Max. However, we are very excited to be expecting our first child, a boy in December 2019.
