Jennifer graduated from Texas State University in 1999, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Sociology/Psychology. She pursued her legal education at the University of Houston Law Center earning her Juris Doctorate in 2002. Jennifer has experience as a misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony prosecutor. She also provided direct representation to Child Protective Services as a regional attorney and within the Denton County District Attorney's Office. Jennifer brings a wealth of experience from over 23 years of legal practice, the majority of which have been exclusively in the Denton County courts. Jennifer also brings the perspective of a working mother and is a (retired) law enforcement spouse.
