Fully probated suspension means an attorney is technically suspended but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities during the suspension to make sure that he or she does not repeat the behavior.
Paul’s comment: “The basis of this misconduct was strictly because of untimely compliance with continuing legal education of the State Bar. It was not as a result of any client dissatisfaction or client complaint.”

Public reprimand means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State gives the lawyer a public reprimand in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.
Paul’s comment: “This was a reprimand by the State Bar, regarding a disagreement with the Dallas County D.A.' s office regarding client confidentiality. Its was as a result of my defending my client. It was not generated by a client at all. That client would tell you that he was very glad I was defending him against the Dallas County D.A.”

Relationship: Worked together on matter
I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet and work with Paul. We worked together on a criminal case and I found him to be caring, personable and highly intelligent. Unlike many attorneys, Paul cares first and foremost about his clients' well-being, always striving to obtain the best possible outcome and achieving great results with remarkable consistency. For the foregoing reasons, I highly endorse Paul Essenburg!
