Extremely unprofessional

A few years ago my family and I filed for EB-1 visa. Lidia took money upfront and until today I have no proof that she has worked on my case. Lidia almost never returns my emails. Currently, her phone is disconnected as well. The sad thing is, she is my childhood friend. I have no idea how she i...s still legally operating.

Professional work

I hired Ms. Lawson to obtain extraordinary ability visa in choreography, visa O-1B based on my international achievements. We prepared the mounds of documents within three months, working tirelessly on both ends. You just never know how much documentation you would need for such a visa. Despite supp...ort from Lidia, it was still overwhelming process and over 3,000 pages were the result of the labour. Finally, the O-1 visa was approved and Lidia prepared me and my family for the interview at the embassy. The interview process was horrifying, but I was prepared for the worst, as Ms. Lawson described several instances of interviews turn interrogations. Luckily, being prepared helped me answer all questions informatively and not be too nervious. The entire process took 6 months after USCIS approved my petition and interview was granted. In my opinion, if it was not for the expertise of a knowledgeable attorney and preparation for the interview, things may not have worked out the way I hoped. Thank you.

EB1 Visa

I was referred to Ms. Lawson by another attorney. She told me Lidia was one of the best she had ever worked with, and that she could help me through my complicated case. She was professional, kind, empathetic and candid and did an excellent job of dealing with additional complications of my current v...isa status. I could not asked for a better support through one of the most difficult times in my life, both exciting and terrifying. She was able to lay out a strategy that would ensure I do not violate my current visa status but also take advantage of another employment opportunity. My employer's lawyer did not warn me about all limitations of my employment, volunteering and other nuances that Ms. Lawson was aware of and warned me before I potentially jeopardized my visa status. She worked with my current and potential employers to figure out how to share my time and filed a cap exempt H1B for the secondary teaching opportunity, which would have not been possible on my current visa. She was the only one who went the extra mile to work with all interested parties and agree on a solution which was the best for me and my family. Thanks to Lidia I did not have to chose between two opportunities and now I have a smart strategy in place for future adjustment.

Very personal approach to a client

From my personal experience, I can tell that I have never met a lawyer who would really care for the client. With immigration attorneys it works so simple: 100% money upfront and no guarantees. So the only one who loses is you. With the Lawson Law it is totally different: I have never seen an attorne...y who would have such a personal approach to a client. Before my family have made a choice to work with Lidia Lawson, we did a big research, because we have previously had a very bad experience with a very big and famous law firm, worldwide known (in Los Angeles). That previous experience with the lawyers who didn't care at all and had assured us that our case was a 100% success and "no worries, that's our job to make it happen", has cost us thousands of dollars, months of collecting documents for our case and completely shattered our hopes, dreams and plans. Those lawyers just sent us a dry note about the failure of our case because of an arguable evidence, and that was it. All this "this is our job to make it happen" was forgotten, they got money and let our case fail. That is why we were so careful to choose new lawyers. Well, we almost gave up. EVERYBODY at this market promises success, but then people just get ripped off, with no results. I understand that it is not up to any lawyers to guarantee an approval for your case. BUT: giving you all the detailed information with an honest and blunt calculation of you REAL chances to get a green card or a certain type of visa, not just causing unrealistic hopes if there is no chance; creating an individual strategy for your individual case; directing you on every turn with every document and evidence that you need to provide; forming a case in a specific way that it would look the best way and represent you the best way. And, most importantly, THEY TALK TO YOU. They respond to your emails, calls, and keep you updated. For instance, I am a kind of person who is very slow to understand all these immigration procedures, so with every new step in working on our case they would explain me what comes next and what the challenges are, and then I would go: "Ok...but I didn't understand, what exact steps are coming next?" And Lidia would explain me again, trying to make it clear and understandable for me. It is a small firm, and they do care about their reputation, and they do care about every client, and as I see in my case, every case (especially the hard ones) is a challenge that they are hungry to take. It took me three years of wasted time and thousands of dollars to realize that having big and famous lawyers doesnt mean anything: lawyers are NOT the Immigration. They ARE NOT. They cannot guarantee anything, it is not in their power to approve your case. The only thing they should guarantee is their professionalism, excellent knowledge of the laws and following all the recent changes in immigration policy and procedures; and creating the right strategy specifically for each individual case. That is what I've been searching for and that is what I found with Lawson Law. And yes, we're waiting for our approved green cards right now.
