Ms. Jacobson earned her law degree from the University of Tulsa School of Law in December, 2017. During law school, Ms. Jacobson was an Associate for Tulsa Law Review, Secretary of the Native American Law Student Association, a member of the Board of Advocates, a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, and a volunteer for Tulsa Lawyers for Children. Ms. Jacobson was invited and successfully completed an Advanced Family Law Practicum. She received the CALI Award for Trial Skills and Civil Procedure II. Prior to law school, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a double minor in psychology and criminology from the University of Oklahoma in 2015, where she was a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization.
Throughout law school, Ms. Jacobson interned with the United States Attorney’s Offices for the Northern and Eastern District of Oklahoma and Tulsa County District Attorney’s office. She clerked for the Honorable Mike Norman in Muskogee County. During Ms. Jacobson’s second year of law school, she received her Legal Intern license and worked for District 12 District Attorney’s office, where she prosecuted cases from petty theft to murder. And, at the conclusion of her final year of law school, Ms. Jacobson was one of the 10 law students from across the nation selected to interview for the United States Attorney General’s Honors Program in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Jacobson worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Muskogee County, where she handled a variety of cases, including but not limited to domestic violence, drug prosecution, crimes against children and violent crimes. During her time as a prosecutor, she also attended various trainings such as Drug Prosecutor School, Association of Oklahoma Narcotics Enforcement conference, Prosecutor Bootcamp, and Interdicting and Prosecuting Bulk Marijuana and Cash Seizures.
Ms. Jacobson went on to work as an Associate Attorney for a family and domestic law firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She handled a wide range of domestic cases including divorces, paternity actions, child support, guardianship/adoption, protective orders, emergency custody, and modifications.
Ms. Jacobson has been and currently is an active member of both the Oklahoma and Tulsa Bar Associations and a member of the Family Law chapters. Her practice is concentrated on domestic matters.
In her free time, Ms. Jacobson enjoys spending time with her family, watching reality TV shows, and shopping at her favorite stores.
