Did not deliver as guardian ad litem
She did absolutely no research on a very complicated guardian ad litem case. I had to hire a consultant myself to preserve my child’s safety. She interviewed no one except my ex-spouse and attorneys.
I did a lot on your matter, but I am not an ADA compliance expert. As a GAL, I often work with professionals in other areas to address issues that are beyond my scope. Those professionals include doctors, therapists, and, at times, engineers. It always depends on the issues and complexity of the case. I understand your frustration in having to hire an additional professional, but I believe it was the best thing for your daughter. I am glad your case was completed, in part, due to your willingness to go the extra mile. I disagree with your final statement. I reviewed all information provided to me, including hearing from several third parties. I also visited both homes, including several trips to review the progress made toward safety implementations at Dad's home. I even went with you to a therapeutic appointment, where I was able to observe and speak with your daughter's speech therapist. My efforts were balanced between receiving information and financial constraints of the parties. I am not aware of any additional people you asked me to speak with. I do understand your situation is beyond difficult, and there was no potential outcome at court that could fix it. I wish you all the best in the future.

Compassionate, understanding professional.
I have hired Deborah for my divorce amendments twice. Both times I was dealing with anxiety and could not focus enough to say the least. She was very compassionate in helping me reach a reasonable agreement without feeling like I was an emotional mess. My Ex and his lawyer made it as difficult as pos...
