OUTCOME: NOT GUILTY after Jury Trial

Client was charged with Sexual Battery against a female coworker. The accuser is married to a police officer, so there was understandably a concern from the client that the accuser was getting special ... attention from law enforcement and the DA's Office. We decided to take the case to jury trial because the DA was not being reasonable and my client insisted he is innocent. The jury came back with a NOT GUILTY verdict and client walked out of the courthouse a free, innocent and vindicated man!

OUTCOME: All charges DISMISSED

The State filed Murder and Child Sexual Abuse charges against client L.W. Those were ultimately dismissed, but the State immediately filed Child Neglect charges against client L.W. and added client D. ... W. to the allegations. I filed a motion objecting to the new charges based on the statute of limitations having expired and got the Neglect charges dismissed. But the State again refiled the charges for a 4th time and tried to get my clients for Child Abuse. The evidence was insufficient and we got all charges dismissed against both clients. This case was heartbreaking in that it is an example of the government overreaching and abusing its power to the detriment of innocent taxpaying citizens. I'm elated that all charges have been dismissed but the allegations and fighting the system took a physical, emotional and financial toll on wonderful people.

Client was charged with Lewd Molestation. I stood by my client and fought at every turn to avoid client going to prison, to avoid client being convicted of a felony or even a misdemeanor and to avoid ... client having to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Ultimately, the DA dismissed the Lewd Molestation case and agreed to give my client a short deferred sentenced on an Assault charge. No prison, no conviction, no registration.

Client was charged with Lewd Proposal to a minor. At first glance the evidence against my client looked overwhelming. The State wanted him to go to prison and register as a sex offender for the rest of ... his life. I was able to work a deal for client that gave him probation on an amended, non-registerable offense. Client will not serve time and will not be required to register as a sex offender.
