Larry Vernon Simmons

An AV® rated trial lawyer with 30+ years of courtroom experience. Consistently listed in Tulsa People Magazine as one of Tulsa's Top Lawyers, Mr. Simmons has a unique and earthy style that has proven extremely effective with Oklahoma jurors. He is a life-long Tulsan and holds a J.D. from The University of Tulsa, an M.A. in Public Administration from Oklahoma State University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.   While at USAO, Mr. Simmons served as Student Body President and Governor of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature.  At OSU he taught three class sections of American Federal Government and worked in the capitol office of the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. While attending TU, Mr. Simmons competed as a member of the National Trial Competition Team and handled misdemeanor jury and bench trials as an intern in the Tulsa City Attorney's Office.  Mr. Simmons has 24 years of progressively responsible experience in the Tulsa City Attorney's Office, including more than 6 years as a prosecutor, more than 6 years as Manager of the City's Litigation Division, and 8 years as Deputy City Attorney. He served as Deputy City Attorney in Stillwater for 6 years prior to opening his private practice in Tulsa.
