About me

Chris has been selected as an "Achiever Under 40" by The Journal Record, as well as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyer Magazine.  He has been featured on television and print media for his commentary on policy and legal issues affecting individuals and businesses. Chris is active in the local bar associations as well as the Oklahoma and Texas Bar Associations.

Chris Smith is a multi-faceted attorney whose practice emphasizes matters relevant to creative entrepreneurs.  Knowing too well that business and personal life are intertwined, as never before, Chris knows the value of an attorney is only realized when they become a strategic partner for the entrepreneur in the critical aspects of their business and life.

Chris works with business owners to protect their interests, from business formation and contracts, to first acquisitions, technology concerns, and divestiture and exit, as well as executive domestic counsel.  Chris knows the unique needs of the startup entrepreneur and enjoys helping others who are investing so much of themselves into a dream.

Chris represents clients in all areas of business law, including general business matters, business formation and succession, estate planning, joint venture and partnership agreements, social media and advertising matters, protection of intellectual property, mobile technology licensing, as well as critical family law matters such as bet the business divorce litigation, split family child planning, custody matters, child support and premarital agreements.

Chris is a collaboratively certified attorney and mediator. Chris’ skills, personality, and interests lend themselves well to the holistic approach to business and personal matters that matter to the business owner.

Prior to law school, Chris was a campaign aid to United States Congressman Frank D. Lucas of Oklahoma, as well as a policy aid to former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating.

Chris and his wife Marissa live in the Oklahoma City metro area with their son Christopher and dog Rue.
