Carlos Mark Henry

Facing serious charges from the worst night of my life. Never dealt with criminal justice system, let alone Chickasaw Nation that just started doing significant amount of cases. Mr. Henry was a Chickasaw Nation court expert and seemed to know all the lawyers on both sides of the aisle and all the j...udges. Almost like a celebrity. We found out later that he is the Chickasaw Nation drug court defense lawyer too. He seemed very busy but kept in touch and most importantly got the felony dismissed and a wonderful no jail misdemeanor....Great Lawyering!

Mr. Henry is a shark in the courtroom. He will fight for you and also help guide you to make the best decisions in your scenarios. He was available to answer any questions or concerns I had through the entire process. Carlos had a great plan and theory on how to help us with post conviction relief. He said he would file a motion and if the motion was denied then he would file an appeal to the court of criminal appeals in order to provide his theory and logic to them in an attempt to overturn the judges decision. H...e started off good in getting paperwork filed. Communication was pretty good for the first month while he was working on filing his motion. But after that it was very hard to reach him, rarely did he get on the phone to talk with us. He reached out once to provide an update without us asking first. Most of the communication was through text. Usually took several texts to get a response. He seemed to have gotten frustrated with us trying to reach him, that at one point he told us to stop calling, because he would not answer the call unless there was an update, and stop texting so much because the proper etiquette was to allow him 24 hours to respond. Well, numerous times it took weeks and sometimes a month to get a response. In the end, took him a year to get his motion denied by the judge and then he tells us that he doesn't do appeals and he only charged us half of the normal fees for the post conviction relief. We didn't ask for a discount, but apparently got one to go along with a lack luster defense. Not saying it's his fault the judge made the ruling he made, but we don't have a lot of confidence that he fought all that hard for us. It felt like he took care of and prioritized his clients based on the amount of money they were paying him. Makes good business sense, but doesn't guarantee good representation for all clients.

Carlos exceeded my expectations on keeping me informed & most importantly being honest with me about the details of my case. He listened to my concerns about my case and quickly addressed them with the court. He is courageous and has no problem getting you the outcome you want and deserve.
