I hired this attorney to do three QDRO's to divide penguin retirement accounts after my divorce. We ended up paying for four because he did all the work for one, but my account was moved to another broker. It was disappointing to have to pay full price for something that was completely useless. He di...dn't offer to discount the fees and had us pay full price for him to redo it from scratch. Recently I've been looking at my retirement details, and I've realized that he did not calculate things fairly or correctly. My maximum benefit from one of the pension plans is $700 per month. The retirement was supposed to be split down the middle. Somehow I am obligated to pay my ex $424 per month. So 60%! I should've contacted my own attorney to review Mr. Conrad's work apparently. If you choose to hire him, I suggest you do the same. There were also ways to more fairly structure the QDRO's and retirement division in the event that one of us dies earlier but again, that was a failure. I was stressed and lacked knowledge and trusted this attorney. Don't make my mistake. It appears that he errored on the side of my ex-husband. Is it incompetence or sexism?
