Replied last January 19, 2024Perla - I understand the frustration your family had with my office along with the timeframe to receive a copy of your file and a refund. I agree this could have been addressed more professionally. Out of the $3,450 that was paid for legal services such funds applied towards the filing fees for an I-130 petition for both parents which totaled $1,070. Out of those funds, $2,730 was returned last January 2023 with the amount of $720 retained to cover partial cost of filing fees. I offered to incur the remaining difference due to the experience your family had. With other matters, we could not proceed with one of the applications which I cannot disclose here. I also show that one of my Associate Attorneys appeared at one appointment with no result and I appeared at another appointment. The case for your parents could have been handled differently and your family experienced lost time. I do hope that all is in final process for your family now and wish your family the best outcome.
