I joined Bogart Immigration, PLLC “Of Counsel” in September 2018. I graduated in law (JD) and public administration (MPA) from Brigham Young University in 2008. While studying, I worked as an intern in federal court, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. State Department. Prior to moving to Fayetteville, I practiced law in Las Vegas, Nevada, assisting clients with their estate plans, tax disputes, and business formations.
I manage the firm’s humanitarian benefits practice group, representing clients in matters including: U visas, T visas, benefits under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), deferred action, R-1 visas, affirmative asylum applications, S visas and certain adjustments of status.
Since 2017, I've been a lecturer at the University of Arkansas’s Walton College of Business. I teaches courses in strategic management and human resources and has also taught business law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
I'm especially excited to contribute to “Preguntas con el Abogado,” an immigration-law related program airing on Northwest Arkansas’s La Zeta 95.7 FM. I earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Brigham Young University and helped produce radio and television shows during college. I also spent a summer writing for CBS Radio in Los Angeles, and later hosted a radio show in Northwest Argentina.
I am a native of Los Angeles, California. I enjoys exploring Northwest Arkansas with her husband and five children. I loves to read, travel, design, and dance. I am fluent in Spanish and has lived in Argentina, Bolivia, and Mexico.
I am licensed to practice law in Utah and the United States Tax Court. My practice in Arkansas is limited to immigration law and proceedings before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Department of Justice.

Grateful
I was able to communicate with Shaughan and she answered all my questions. I admire her integrity and would recommend her as a lawyer.
"I strongly recommend Shaughan in immigration cases. Her attention to detail and creativity make her a strong attorney, but her ability to empathize with clients is what really sets her apart in this complicated and stressful area of practice."
